List labs provides research reagents related to bacteria and their ability to infect.  These reagents are important in understanding disease and in providing tools to manipulate living systems.  Purified reagents have been used to sort out the mechanisms of bacterial disease by understanding how the virulence factors made by replicating pathogens alter the host. Knowledge of virulence factors is critical to design novel approaches for therapeutics or vaccines. There are many examples of how bacterial research reagents provide both an understanding of disease and tools to counter disease and manipulate living systems. High purity reagents from List Labs are key to research.

If your institution would prefer that you not work with lyophilized toxins, we can reconstitute certain products for you. A nominal fee will apply, if your purchase is just a single vial. After reconstitution, the item ships on Blue Ice, and this increases transportation and box fees.

We offer three different formulations. Product #179A/B is provided frozen in a glycerol formulation. This product is already in solution and adds the convenience of being readily available for each use. However, shipping on blue ice is required, and it is not available internationally. Product #180 is provided lyophilized in sodium phosphate buffer. It is stable when shipped at ambient temperature and suitable for most applications. Product #181 is provided lyophilized without a buffer, which allows you reconstitute the pertussis toxin in the buffer of your choice.

Lethal dose 50% (LD50) is described in the following link:  http://www.ccohs.ca/oshanswers/chemicals/ld50.html.  We do not perform this assay, and LD50 is not provided for our products.  If it is required, we will subcontract this work.

When it is feasible, we lyophilize our products to enhance the stability.  Some of our products, though, lose activity upon freezing and are therefore not lyophilized or frozen.  Our liquid products are shipped on dry ice or Blue Ice, which require prompt transportation and delivery.  Storage conditions after receipt are provided on the Certificate of Analysis enclosed with each item that is purchased.

Most of our products are offered as a lyophilized powder which allows the item to ship at room temperature.  Stability varies from product to product.  The Certificate of Analysis reports stability data after reconstitution, if known.  However, the product may have multiple applications, and stability varies for different applications.

Our products are for research purposes only and are not to be used in humans or as diagnostic agents.  We do have capabilities to provide GLP or GMP products utilizing our contract manufacturing capabilities.

An online account is established for customers who wish to place their orders via our online ordering process. A new customer application is completed when the institution is placing an order at List Labs for the first time.

We provide same day shipping for most orders received before noon Pacific Standard Time. Orders arriving after noon ship the following business day.

Products requiring cold packaging ship Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday only due to the temperature requirements for liquids. They must be shipped via standard overnight or priority overnight.

For room temperature domestic shipments you may choose Standard Overnight (delivery to most locations by end of the next business day), Priority Overnight (delivery to most locations by 10:30 a.m. the next morning), or Economy Service which is a two day delivery.

Packages going to international destinations are shipped Federal Express International Priority. Some exceptions apply.

We prepay shipping fees and add the freight charges to your invoice, unless you provide your carrier’s account number when placing your order.

Shipping

If you would like to set this up we would be happy to help you. Please speak to a customer service representative about standing purchase orders.

A certificate of analysis is provided with each shipment. When it is a dangerous good that ships on a hazardous declaration an SDS also is included with the shipment.

If you will be at your place of business on Saturday, arrangements can be made for a delivery on a Saturday. Please contact our customer service department about special needs like this.

Yes, however some products have additional requirements for international shipments.

Products shipped on Blue Ice or Dry Ice require a written statement from customers stating they agree to receive the products in the condition that they arrive. A simple line on a purchase order with the statement, “I agree to receive products shipped on ice in the condition they arrive.” will suffice.

Select Agents & Toxins can only be carried internationally via World Courier.
