Leadership Teams
Stacy Burns-Guydish, Ph.D. has over 20 years of experience in transformative biotechnology applications with pathogenic, therapeutic, and industrial relevant microbes. She developed breakthrough technologies for bacterial production of a biochemical resulting in intellectual property and patents, scaled up a strict anaerobic fermentation to 100,000L, and developed bioluminescent sensors for real time in vivo imaging.
Stacy joined List Labs in 2016 and has directed the development and manufacturing of several live biotherapeutic and toxin therapeutic drug products for Phase I and II clinical trials. She served as the VP of Biotherapeutic Development and Manufacturing, contributing to List Labs’ strategic plans and overseeing upstream and downstream process development, scale-up, and cGMP manufacturing of client and List Lab products. Stacy earned her Ph.D. in microbiology and immunology from Baylor College of Medicine and completed her postdoctoral training at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Jonathan Yongwan Jo is a serial entrepreneur who launched 10+ new business projects in both startup and large company settings. He is an open-minded inclusive leader, pursues new challenges, thinks out of the box, and is strong in execution. He speaks Chinese, Korean, and English with professional proficiency.
Previously, Jonathan worked as the CFO and Board Director at Mediheal, a unicorn skincare startup, where he oversaw its strategic planning, corporate development, financial management, business development, and innovation initiatives. At Apple, he worked with sales and finance executives to manage a fast-growing $30B+ sales operation in China, managing national distributors and expanding 350 Apple stores into new cities. At Bain & Company, he advised chief executives in consumer and retail business as a management consultant, boosting sales performance and transforming the organization. Jonathan earned an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, after graduating summa cum laude from Seoul National University with a dual degree in business administration and sports science.
Maggie Tam has over 20 years of executive global financial management experience in the consumer, software, and biotech industries. Maggie has managed finance, operation, and international expansion, raising capital as well as merger and acquisitions activities. She joined List Labs in 2016. In her role as CFO, she applies her extensive financial and operational experience to lead the accounting, FP&A, IT, facilities, and operation departments supporting the company’s rapid growth.
Maggie earned a BS in finance and an MBA from Santa Clara University, SEP certificate from Stanford University, and holds a California CPA license.
Jongmin Paek is a seasoned leader with global standards in biomanufacturing and pharmaceutical fields with over 23 years of experience in biological drug substance, sterile parenteral drug product manufacturing, chemical synthesis product, and drug delivery system.
Jongmin joined List Bio from Genome & Co, where he was the chief manufacturing officer, developing the manufacturing strategy development and project execution plan. Prior to joining Genome & Co, Jongmin served as the head of process and CMC development in support of bacterial exosome-based drug substance in Rosetta Exosome. He also ran a privately-owned consulting firm, Pharmasol Consulting, to provide manufacturing and regulatory compliance consulting service for stem cell therapy and drug delivery system. He formerly worked at Merck & Co. for 18 years where he served in various external manufacturing roles responsible for Asia Pacific, Europe & middle east.
Jongmin holds a BS in fine chemical engineering from Chonnam National University, Korea.
Kent Davis has over 20 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry including cGMP platform technologies for monoclonal antibodies, bacterial proteins, and live biotherapeutics for Phase I, II, and III clinical trials. His background includes process development, technical transfer, manufacturing, and operations. Kent serves as a subject matter expert in downstream processing techniques, including fermentation harvest (dead-end filtration, TFF, and centrifugation), chromatography, and UF/DF. He helped to pioneer the design and development of sterile/single-use/disposable supplies and associated equipment for use in the manufacturing of a potential commercial product for a patient-specific immunotherapy.
Kent joined List Labs in 2009, and currently directs manufacturing activities including lab support, microbiology, fermentation, purification, and process development teams. He earned his BS in chemical/biochemical engineering from the University of California, Davis.
Kristyna Aviles joined List Laboratories in 2023 as the Sr. Director of Quality and Compliance. Ms Aviles oversees the List Labs’ Quality Organization, including Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Analytical Development functions. She is an accomplished Quality leader with over twenty years of experience in the biopharmaceutical and medical device industries. In previous roles, she has successfully managed regulatory inspections, driven numerous Quality System integration and improvement projects, and led Quality Risk Management programs. Along with her comprehensive Quality knowledge, Kristyna brings to List Labs her leadership skills for implementation of Quality policies, programs, and initiatives for supporting development and cGMP manufacturing of novel therapeutics. Kristyna is committed to partnering with the List Labs’ customers to deliver Quality Products to allow them to serve their patients. She earned her BS in Microbiology from California Polytechnic State University.
Gary Joined List Labs in 2020, bringing over 25 years of biotech sales and business development experience to List Labs. Whether linking clinical stage drug developers to the expertise and manufacturing capacity that is crucial to their project’s success, introducing disruptive automation technology to the clinical diagnostics market, or designing custom consumables for high-throughput automation, structuring mutually beneficial contracts with some of the largest commercial and research organizations in the world has been a key focus of his career. Gary takes tremendous satisfaction in the construction and completion of a well-planned project that propels his customer forward on their trajectory of success. Although college educated in business and organizational communication, Gary attributes his success to the experience and insights gained in the field through market immersion and conversations with the true industry experts, the customer.
