4.2.9.1 EAE
EAE was induced as described before (Zinser et al., 2004). In brief, on day 0, 10-12 week old female C57BL/6N mice were subcutaneously immunized with a 1:1 ratio of MOG peptide35-55 (50 µg; Charité, Berlin, Germany) and complete Freund`s adjuvant (CFA; Sigma-Aldrich) enriched with 10 µg/ml Mycobacterium tuberculosis (H37Ra; Difco/BD Biosciences). Furthermore, pertussis toxin (200 ng; List Biological Laboratories, Campbell, California, USA) was injected intraperitoneally on days 0 and 2.
