Product: Pertussis Toxin from B. pertussis, Lyophilized (Salt-Free)

  • Materials:

Pertussis toxin (PTx) from Bordetella pertussis (no. 181), Pertussis toxin subunit (B-oligomer, no. 184), and Diphtheria toxin (DT) from Corynebacterium diphtheriae (no. 150) were purchased from List Biological Laboratories Inc. …

For DT samples, Cd11c-eyfp+dtr+ aortas were used
and the perfusate contained diphtheria toxin (DT) to induce apoptosis. Cells did not
disappear, instead cell debris were continually being shed off and ghost dead cells are
left behind at the 6 hour time point.

WT mice were injected with LPS for 6 hours (white bars) or 12 hours (black
bars). The latter groups were treated with PTx or CCL19 blocking antibody; and
controls were injected with B-oligomer or nonimmune IgG, respectively. Intimal mRNA
expression was analyzed and data were normalized to mice injected with LPS for 6
    hours (white bars).

  • Polyclonal CD4+ T cell adoptive transfer:

…In some cases, Foxp3-expressing Treg cells were ablated following adoptive transfer by the i.p. injection of diphtheria toxin (DT; List Biological, Campbell, CA) at a concentration of 0.5 g/mouse on day 1 after adoptive transfer of T cells, and then 0.2 g/mouse every other until day 21. …

TLR stimulation induces a second wave of intimal CD11c+ cell reduction, not mediated by apoptosis, but is dependent on CCR7 and CCL19 expression:

    (a) … Positive controls were Cd11c-dtr transgenic mice injected with diphtheria toxin (DT) for 8h.
